I have worked on the Quiz Bowl project since 1992. Since
1992, it has evolved through
several iterations, the biggest being going from DOS to Windows
in 1995. I did most of the coding
for Quiz Bowl DOS (C programming language) and some on the
initial Windows release. For the past seven years, I have
managed the ongoing development
of
Quiz Bowl for Windows and functioned as the technical lead
and interface designer. In addition to the Quiz Bowl for
Windows project, I have also managed the development of Team
Quiz
Bowl (for
use with
wireless keypads) and Quiz Bowl for Java. |
I worked on the Digital Professor project since 1993. I
wrote the natural language parser for the first iteration
of the software. Since then I have supervised the ongoing
development and designed the easy-to-use interface used in
the current
Windows version and Java version. I also managed the creation
of the wireless keypad version and designed the interface
for the Report Generator software. |

Train Track was the most sophisticated project I have worked
on. Train Track was custom designed for Glaxo Wellcome to
keep track of over 3,500 employee training records. I was
in charge of the high-level design and functioned as a client
coordinator
for the project. Train Track consisted of 6 separate applications
that all communicated with each other. There was a database
component, a data synchronization component, a web-based
reports component, a modem communications component, a course
approval compoenet, and an administrator component. |
